Beachfront Fire Island home reduced to rubble by raging caught-on-camera inferno

A massive blaze wiped out a beachfront house on Fire Island Wednesday afternoon, shocking video shows.

The inferno broke out during a barbeque at the sprawling home on the Fire Island Pines section of the popular Long Island summer destination, WABC reported, citing officials.

People were reportedly inside the residence when the fire broke out but no injuries have been reported.

Harrowing videos show the property engulfed in a raging inferno but it does not appear the fire spread to neighboring homes.

A number of fire departments responded to the scene and attempted to extinguish the out-of-control flames.

The property, which photos show has been reduced to a pile of rubble, has been determined to be a total loss by officials.
