Now that the 2026 FIFA World Cup is fully in the rear-view mirror of the soccer world, teams around the globe have started to get ready for the season to come, which means finalizing transfers and other such moves to bolster their squads. It appears that two of the bigger teams in Europe aren't satisfied with how their roster is looking, as the champions from the top flight of French and German soccer have been eyeing up a star in Belgium's national team.

As reported by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams considering making a move for Charles De Ketelaere, who is fresh off the heels of an impressive World Cup campaign. Across five games for the Red Devils, De Ketelaere would record four goal involvements, with three of his strikes bulging the back of the net.

Perhaps the most notable of his performances came in the infamous match against the United States in the quarter-finals, when the 25-year-old bagged a first-half brace before setting up an early second-half goal, sending one of the tournament's host nations home early.

While Bayern Munich is "closely monitoring" De Ketelaere's situation at Atalanta, it appears that the Parisians are more intrigued in acquiring him, with their gaffer, Luis Enrique, being a fan of his flexibility on the pitch, according to Konur.

If there is a move to be made, Konur states that the Italian side values the 25-year-old close to the €50 million mark, and if it were to happen, it would be the second big departure to hit I Nerazzurri after Marco Palestra departed for Chelsea earlier in the window.

It's worth noting that Ederson's move to Manchester United collapsed due to complications in his club medical, after reports indicated that Atalanta's midfielder was destined for the Premier League.
