Bam Adebayo vows to maintain his stellar form as the Miami Heat struggle with injuries

The Miami Heat were doing well a few games ago, as they were on a long winning streak. Unfortunately, the Heat are still one of the most polarizing teams this season with their struggles. At the same time, their injury struggles remain with multiple players on the sidelines.

Amid all those injuries, Bam Adebayo has stepped up and embraced the go-to guy role. This is perfectly exemplified by his historic 83-point game against the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, the results after that game have not been promising, especially with this current four-game losing streak.

Adebayo promises to keep playing at a high level moving forward

Over the years, as a Heat player, Adebayo has always played as more of a secondary player. For a long time, Jimmy Butler was the star player for Miami, but that changed when the veteran guard got traded to the Golden State Warriors.

Tyler Herro stepped up and became an All-Star for the Heat, while Adebayo maintained his status as a defensive anchor and a secondary offensive option. Recently, that has not been the case because Adebayo has had to step up for both Herro and All-Star guard Norman Powell.

With this pressure on him, Adebayo is prepared to keep fighting for the Heat. He wants to lead them to multiple victories, which he has not been able to do as of late. However, he is ready to keep going, especially with the promising 30-20 game he had against the Houston Rockets over the weekend.

"Just taking it game by game. Obviously, it would be better if we got a W, maybe celebrate it more, but those things are what you expect from me, especially when we got guys out, trying to get a win," Adebayo said after losing to the Rockets game-winner.

While Herro is helping the Heat now, they still don't have key players such as Powell, Andrew Wiggins, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. If the Heat want to succeed, they need to get them back healthy because Adebayo is a great player, but he might not be able to carry this team on his back every game.
