Audi Crooks and Addy Brown are set to showcase their skills for Team USA, as the Iowa State women's basketball players have been selected for the upcoming 2025 USA Women's AmeriCup Team Training Camp.
Crooks and Brown will head off to Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 16-24 to take part in the event held at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. There, they will be put through trials in front of the Junior National Team Committee, who will be responsible for team selection.
The 2025 AmeriCup takes place June 28-July 6 in Santiago, Chile and features 10 nations from North, South and Central America, along with the Caribbean. The USA team will face Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Mexico in Group B play.
The winner of the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup earns an invite to the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup, to be held in Berlin, Germany.
Kara Lawson, DeLisha Milton-Jones, Jennie Baranczyk, Jim Flanery and Robyn Fralick will be coaches at the trials and tournament.
Last year, Crooks produced a Big 12-leading 23.4 points per game while shooting 60.5 percent from the field. The sophomore became the fastest Iowa State female and third-quickest Big 12 woman to reach 1,000 career points, doing so in just 49 games played.
She was named a third team All-American by both the Associated Press and US Basketball Writers Association, and is a two-time unanimous all-Big 12 selection.
Crooks was a standout at Bishop Garrigan High School in Iowa, leading her team to two straight basketball titles. She also excelled in track and field while earning all-state honors all four years on the court.
Brown put together a season that ranked among the best in the nation, scoring 15.2 points with 7.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists. She is the only Cyclone to ever record at least 400 points, 250 rebounds and 150 assists in a season, securing second team all-Big 12 status.
Before becoming a Cyclone, Brown was the 2022-23 Gatorade Kansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year and a 2023 McDonald's All-American. He led Derby High School to a pair of state runner-up finishes.
