Astros legend Jose Altuve gives double-emoji reaction to Carlos Correa trade

Many eye-opening deals went through the MLB front offices during Thursday's trade deadline.

Mason Miller went to the Padres, and Eugenio Suarez is back with Seattle, but another return via trade sent shockwaves through the league, particularly the Houston Astros.

The Minnesota Twins agreed to a trade with the Astros sending Carlos Correa back to H-Town, having previously spent the 2015 through 2021 seasons with the team, making two All-Star Games and helping the team win their first World Series in 2017.

One Astro that is pumped about his former teammate returning to the team is second baseman Jose Altuve, who responded to the news with a post on his Instagram story of a graphic of Correa pointing to his wrist, saying, "it's time," followed by two clock emojis.

And given the close-knit friendship between the two middle infielders during Correa's original stint with Houston, it's no surprise that Altuve is as excited as he seems to be.

Correa waived his no-trade clause to return to the Astros, saying that he told the Twins' front office that "there was only one team he would allow it to happen."

The shortstop was one of nine Twins players shipped out via the trade, marking the end of what many would consider an average career in the Twin Cities.
