Arshdeep Singh made an immediate impact after his comeback to the playing XI in the third T20I between India and Australia in Hobart on Sunday, November 2. The left-arm pacer dismissed swashbuckling opener Travis Head in his first over. The Aussie batter walked back for just six runs after facing four deliveries.

The dismissal came off the fourth delivery of Australia’s innings. Arshdeep bowled a length ball outside off, and Head got forward to loft it over the infield. The ball kept shaping away after pitching, and the batsman mistimed the shot up in the sky. Suryakumar Yadav settled underneath the ball at mid-off, and it was a well-judged catch in the end. As per Cricbuzz, this was the third instance when Arshdeep dismissed Head in the T20 format.

With the wicket, Arshdeep Singh continued his knack of picking up wickets for India in the power play. Meanwhile, Travis Head failed to score big once again in the white-ball series against the Men in Blue, including the 50-over series.

Arshdeep Singh strikes twice after India invite Australia to bat in the 3rd T20I

Arshdeep Singh provided early breakthroughs after India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl against Australia in the third T20I. Apart from Travis Head, he also dismissed Josh Inglis for a single-digit score.

At the time of writing, Australia were 14/2 after 2.3 overs, with skipper Mitchell Marsh and Tim David at the crease.

Meanwhile, the tourists have made three changes to their playing XI. Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana made way for Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, and Arshdeep Singh in the lineup. On the other hand, the Aussies have made a solitary change as Sean Abbott replaced Josh Hazlewood (rested for the remainder of the series).

Australia are leading the five-match T20I series 1-0 following their four-wicket victory against India in the second T20I in Melbourne. The series opener was abandoned due to rain after the Men in Blue faced 9.4 overs in Canberra.
