Arsenal will allegedly be in the market to rope in a striker for the upcoming season. Mikel Arteta is adamant in bringing in a consistent goalscorer as he believes that is an areas where the Gunners have struggled.
This season with injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal were left with makeshift options upfront, and even the goalscoring output wasn't the same. Many experts feel that is the reason for them missing out on the Premier League crown.
So among many options, Arsenal are monitoring quite a few prodigious strikers in the market. Recently a report on Sky Germany suggested the rise in release clause for RB Leipzig marksman Benjamin Sesko.
The 21-year-old is among one of the top priority players for Arteta. Arsenal enquired about the youngster last summer but all they received was rejection from Leipzig.
His release clause has swelled up to €80 million due to his recent performances for Leipzig. His current deal includes a flexible release clause, which will increase considering his performances.
However, reports suggest that despite the Slovenian attracting multiple clubs from all over Europe, Leipzig are open to selling him for less than the release clause.

The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals this season in 43 matches for Leipzig. He has made significant progress in the Bundesliga as well, where he has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 31 matches this season.
Apart from goals in the Bundesliga, the youngster has also fared well in the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals in eight appearances in the current campaign. So he has the exposure of playing at the highest level.
Speaking to Sky Germany on Tuesday, Sesko highlighted that he has kept his options open when asked about his next destination. "Right now, I’m 100 per cent focused on RB Leipzig. Then we’ll see what happens. It’s open, anything can happen."
The Slovenian marksman has the physicality and the athleticism to fit in any Premier League team. He has been consistently scoring goals for Leipzig since joining them from their sister franchise, RB Salzburg.
Sesko has netted 39 goals in 85 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit and is ready to take the next step in his career.
