Arsenal are all set to be one of the most active clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Gunners will look to revamp their roster to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
If they finish second this season, this will be the third consecutive season they finish in second place. The fans are gradually getting frustrated with the club's performance in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta's men were on course to put up a big challenge to Arne Slot's Liverpool, but the Gunners struck multiple roadblocks with injuries to their key players.
Hence, there will be massive changes at the club this summer and as per reports on The Sun, the North London outfit are interested in signing Leicester City's highly-rated midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss.
Arsenal are looking to strengthen their roster and El Khannous will surely provide Arteta with a lot of option especially with Martin Odegaard not being the same player after returning from his ankle injury.
While the 20-year-old will take time to even get close to Odegaard's level, his talent and versatility is undeniable. It will also allow the Gunners to rotate their lineup regularly, keeping the players fresh and free from injury.

As per reports in Africa Foot, Arsenal have started monitoring the player with Serie A outfit Lazio and Bundesliga team RB Leipzig also showing interest in the 20-year-old.
Leicester City are getting relegated this season, right after gaining promotion to the Premier League last season. Therefore, they will be willing to leave the youngster at a discount price of €30 million.
What did Ruud van Nistelrooy say about the talented youngster?
El Khannouss has impressed with his three goals and five assists in 35 appearances this season across competitions. He joined the Foxes in August last year for €21 million from Belgian outfit Genk.
— Arsenal Team (@_ArsenalTeam) May 2, 2025Interestingly, before making the move to the Premier League, he was Genk's Player of the Year in his last season in Belgium. Therefore, El Khannous can be a great squad addition for the Gunners as he has genuine quality to succeed at this level, and they can afford to make a signing for the future just to add squad depth.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, who took the manager role at Leicester City after Scott Cooper's dismissal, instantly became the 20-year-old's admirer. He consistently selected him in the starting XI and felt that the youngster has everything to succeed at the top level.
"His potential is there to be a top player in the Champions League. He can go a long way," said the Leicester boss earlier in the campaign. "He's not afraid to challenge the big teams in the league."
"He did very well in the home game (against Manchester City). He's young, he came into the Premier League this season. He's developing really well. He's looking to add to his numbers. It's a matter of time, the goals and assists, there are still games for him to add to those numbers," Nistelrooy added.
The Dutch legend highlighted his technical abilities and his skills with the ball. He also believed that the Premier League experience for the 20-year-old will help him in his development.
"He's a technical player, and he needs to be on the ball a lot. That's where his strengths are. For where we are, sometimes there are different games for him, but for his development, it's great," he concluded.
