Arne Slot took charge as Liverpool's head coach in June last year and successfully led the Reds to claim the Premier League title this season.
Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions back in April with 82 points in the table and four matches remaining. Despite their impressive run in the league, with 25 wins and only four losses in 37 games, the Reds were not as successful in the other competitions.
One of Liverpool's heartbreaks this season includes their elimination from the Round of 16 of the Champions League. The Reds were topping the table, with only one loss in their first eight matches.
Liverpool were pitted against PSG in the Round of 16 and after managing a 1-0 win in the first leg, the Reds lost 4-1 on penalties in the second.
Slot addressed his squad's elimination from the Champions League and claimed that they were 'very unlucky' with the draw of opponents at that stage of the competition.
What did Arne Slot say about Liverpool's UCL elimination?
Slot spoke about Liverpool's journey in the Champions League this season and mentioned (comments via BBC Sport) that their packed schedule was a hindrance along with their draw against stronger opponents.

"We were very unlucky that we had to play PSG in March because in this country we don't have a winter break. So we had to play from November to March with all these Real Madrid games and City games... all these tough games in between," he said.
"And then at the end of that period we had to play one team that can play just as intense as we can, only they had a winter break and we were in the end of a four-month period. So I think if we could have played them in April, that would have been better."
"And we were so unlucky because we were number one in the league table - we could have had Benfica - like Barca had - and afterwards Benfica and Dortmund, but we got PSG," concluded Slot.
Liverpool are set to draw the curtains on this season with their last Premier League clash, which is against Crystal Palace on May 25, at Anfield.
