Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Reunite in Magical Wicked: For Good Trailer
Prepare to hold space for Ariana Grande’s most iconic style moments.
From her days with bright red hair on Nickelodeon to her wickedly pink wardrobe, the Grammy winner has always made waves in fashion. And as Ariana, who turns 32 on June 26, prepares to defy gravity on the carpet once more as she celebrates Wicked: For Good’s release this fall, she’ll continue to bring her fashion A-game.
For the “7 Rings” singer, her style journey was crucial for embracing her role as Glinda in Wicked and its sequel as it meant ditching her “pop persona”—including breaking free from her signature dark brown ponytail.
“Beauty really helped me deconstruct that person and find Glinda,” Ariana told Vogue in September 2024. “Even though I was wearing wigs, I needed to be blonde, too.”
After almost two years of inhabiting the world of Oz, she brought Glinda with her to the carpet, trading in her cat ears and thigh-high boots for her character’s signature pink, accessorizing her custom pink and white plaid Thom Browne gown with a matching bow for the 2024 Los Angeles premiere of Wicked.
The Shiz University social queen was also by her side at the 97th Academy Awards where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Wicked. The blush pink Schiaparelli gown was nothing short of exquisite, with a flowing lace skirt and 190,000 rhinestones.

While she’s experimented with fashion over the years, she’s also been candid about the scrutiny she’s faced being in the public eye since she was a teenager.
“I’ve been doing this in front of the public and been a specimen in a Petri dish since I was like 16 or 17,” Ariana explained in an interview with French influencer Crazy Sally in December. “It’s hard to protect yourself from that noise.”
That’s why she wasn’t afraid to clap back at those commenting about how she looked months earlier.
“There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful,” she shared in a TikTok video posted in April 2024. “The second thing is you never know what someone is going through, so even if you’re coming from a loving place or a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they’re working on it with.”
While she’s saying thank u, next to her critics, keep reading to see how Ariana’s style has evolved over the years…
