Though No. 22 Texas has won two straight games, quarterback Arch Manning's play has been criticized.

Texas has rattled off back-to-back wins, but Manning's stat line is not painting the picture of an offense clicking like a preseason national title contender. The sophomore quarterback, whose famous last name brings with it immense scrutiny, has failed to eclipse 200 passing yards in four of his last six starts, including a last week's difficult outing against Kentucky where he completed only 12-of-27 passes for 132 yards and no touchdowns in a narrow 16-13 overtime victory.

For a team that started the season ranked No. 1, the offensive struggles behind their highly-touted signal-caller remain the primary source of concern, despite the defense single-handedly lifting the Longhorns to consecutive crucial SEC victories.

This week, the Longhorns face another tough road test, this time in Starkville against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have already given teams a tough time this season at home, including beating No 12 Arizona State and taking No. 15 Tennessee to overtime.

The Sporting News will follow all the action from Saturday afternoon as Arch and the Longhorns look to make it three straight, and more importantly, the quarterback looks to elevate his play. Follow along for the action below.
