The Texas Longhorns head into Week 8 of the 2025 college football season with a 4-2 overall record, going 1-1 in the SEC. The Longhorns fell out of the AP Top-25 for one week, but are back in for this week. 

No. 21 Texas will go on the road to take on Kentucky in an SEC battle. This will be the seventh game that quarterback Arch Manning has played this season. He goes into the matchup with 1,317 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. The quarterback has added 194 yards and five more touchdowns on 47 carries. 

Last week, Manning and the Longhorns took on Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Texas won 23-6, and Manning finished the game 21 of 27 passing for 166 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. He had four carries for 34 yards, including a 29-yard rush.
