The Browser Company plans to “sunset” its Arc browser on December 22nd, according to a post on the Arc website. The company moved on to developing its AI-focused Dia browser last year, but it had continued to maintain Arc. Now, the innovative browser will be going away for good.

The shutdown is happening in a few stages. Starting today, you can’t make new Arc accounts. On November 23rd, on iOS and Android, the Browse for Me and “other AI features” will be disabled and “you will no longer be able to sign in or sync your tabs.” On December 22nd, the Arc browser won’t be accessible on macOS or Windows, Arc accounts will be deactivated, and Arc Search for Android will be removed from Google Play.

The Browser Company has an FAQ about how to import your data into Dia, if you want to move to that browser. Dia is now where the company is focused, “including our whole security team.”
