What are the best weapons to use in Apex Legends Winter Olympus Wildcard?
Here is a quick overview of some of the best weapons you can pick to secure victories in Apex Legends Winter Olympus Wildcard:
1) Havoc
Havoc in Apex Legends (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Havoc is an Energy ammo Assault Rifle that has low bullet drop. It was nerfed in some of the past updates that decreased its magazine size and overall damage output. However, it remains the go-to choice for a percentage of players who have mastered its recoil kick. Fortunately, Wildcard is a casual game mode where you can freely pick up this weapon and test its limits while practicing in different gunfight scenarios.
The Havoc performs best at medium-range fights and can be paired with either a Shotgun or an SMG to complete the loadout. The weapon has a short power-up timer after which it can start shooting in full automatic mode.
2) R-301

The weapon has a very low recoil kick, making it easy to control. However, this is compensated for with a comparatively lower damage output per bullet. But you can mitigate this with a higher-tier magazine. The weapon is even more effective for Wildcard mode, as you can simply use it to deal damage and level it up for better attachment instead of finding loot.
The R-301 is great for dealing spray damage, but it needs to be paired with a Shotgun like the Peacekeeper or Mastiff for close-range scenarios. You can even choose to use larger optics on the weapon to poke at enemies from a long distance.
3) Nemesis
Nemesis Energy Assault Rifle in Legend Locker (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)The Nemesis has received a lot of nerfs, but it remains one of the best damage output weapons in the entire game. This weapon uses Energy ammo, like the Havoc, and is a burst weapon. However, it has a unique feature that allows players to hold down the fire keybind and shoot continuous bursts while also gaining a temporary charge on the weapon. This charge increases the fire rate of the Nemesis significantly.
The Nemesis is primarily a long and medium-range weapon. Pairing this with an SMG like the R-99 can help you confidently enter close-range fights. A Shotgun is viable for the loadout, but it can quickly become a limiting factor if you are not playing a mobility character.
4) Sentinel
Sentinel Sniper Rifle (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)The Sentinel Sniper Rifle is a great choice for players who want to rake in high damage numbers without putting themselves at immediate risk. It can be charged with Shield Cells to deal devastating damage with both body and headshots. It is a bolt-action weapon, so it cannot be shot like some of the other long-range weapons in the game. The Sentinel is straightforward to use but has a high skill ceiling due to the fast-paced nature of the game. However, Wildcard is a casual mode where you can easily learn the sniper and even try landing some no-scope shots at close range.
The Sentinel is best paired with an SMG or any Assault Rifle purely to have a fully automatic option as a secondary. However, if you want to adopt tactics that involve shooting from far and then quickly closing the gap, you may be better off with Shotguns like the Akimbo Mozambique.
5) Bocek
Bocek can be charged to shoot explosive arrows (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)The Bocek is a silent weapon that features only a single-shot firing mode. It is a high skill weapon that has recently returned to ground loot and received small reworks. You can directly charge up the Bocek with a Grenade and shoot exploding arrows. These charged arrows can deal a small area-based damage that can be perfect for flushing out enemies from corners. Since there is no loud gunfire sound for it, you can poke at enemies from quite a distance without revealing your location.
The Bocek is a high-risk, high-reward pick and could create problems for you in the last circles. It is best to use this weapon alongside a Shotgun to ensure you have the necessary firepower to punish enemies who try to initiate close-range gunfights. The Bocek becomes redundant in close-quarters and needs a reliable secondary to secure team fight wins.
