What are the best Legends for Apex Legends Winter Olympus Wildcard?
Here is a list of the best Legends you can use for Apex Legends Winter Olympus Wildcard:
1) Valkyrie
Valkyrie in Apex Legends (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Valkyrie has received quite a few buffs in the previous updates. Her abilities have become more flexible and can be used more aggressively during gunfights. The tactical ability can now also be used in close range without damaging yourself, making it extremely helpful in closed spaces like inside buildings. This makes it possible for players to push enemy teams aggressively and dish out additional damage while hindering their movement abilities.
Valkyrie has also become more agile with the improved jetpacks. While the fuel does run out quite quickly, it remains effective for continuous use and climbing to some high ground areas. However, the jets can still be used to jump into gunfights and even reposition to safe areas when necessary. Her ultimate ability is great for rotating around the map quickly without putting the squad at risk of getting caught off guard on the ground.
2) Rampart
Rampart's tactical ability buffs have changed the Controller class meta (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Rampart also received some buffs in the form of some modifications to her existing ability kit. The new tactical ability can gain charge when you damage enemies through it or if the wall takes damage from enemies. This charge can then be used to get a significant movement boost temporarily and push enemies. The walls are great for anchoring closed areas and buildings, and can also be used as temporary cover in open ground areas.
The ultimate ability of Rampart remains unchanged. It is a highly effective machine gun that can be used as a third weapon without losing any inventory space for its ammo. You can also place this turret down for your squad members to use and rake in high damage numbers.
3) Horizon
Horizon in Apex Legends (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Horizon fans can now enjoy a faster climb with the tactical ability. This character had been one of the most dominant legends in the past, but had a fall in pick rate after better mobility legends took the spotlight. Fortunately, the devs have provided Horizon with some much-needed buffs that increase her effectiveness on the battlefield. This includes reduced cooldowns on both the tactical and ultimate abilities.
The ultimate ability, Black Hole, is one of the most effective abilities that can be used to trap enemies or disrupt ongoing fights. It is also great for initiating team fights after your squad has dealt significant damage. Combine it with a few grenades near the Black Hole to score easy squad wipes.
4) Revenant
Revenant in Legend Locker (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Revenant is currently one of the highly picked characters for casual modes like Wildcard. This is purely due to his ability kit, which increases his agility greatly. Since Apex Legends is an ability-based shooter where movement is one of the pillars, Revenant has consolidated his place at the top. The tactical ability makes it easy for players to quickly enter or exit fights whenever necessary. Paired with the passive climbing ability, this Legend is one of the most lethal picks.
His ultimate ability provides a regenerating shield that can be used during fights. It is most effective when you use it after your main shield breaks to avoid wasting time on recharging it with Batteries or Cells. Moreover, Wildcard brings a lot of movement features on maps, which benefit this agile character even more to hunt unsuspecting enemies.
5) Mad Maggie
Mad Maggie is one of the most effective Assault legends (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming | EA)Mad Maggie is one of the most aggressive characters in the game, with all her abilities aimed at poking and disorienting enemies. The tactical ability is great for flushing out enemies from corners and breaking doors of buildings. It is also effective when used to poke at teams that are already fighting from a safe distance. The cooldown for this ability is moderate, so it cannot be spammed throughout fights.
Mad Maggie’s ultimate ability is perfect for initiating a fight or wrapping it up. The speed boost and destructive power of the Wrecking Ball can temporarily stun enemies and knock them back a bit. You can then simply shoot them down before they have a chance to recover. Alternatively, it is effective for retreating from disadvantageous gunfights.
