Ament becomes the latest seasoned executive to join the company bringing AI to AP

SAN FRANCISCO — Direct Commerce, the AI-native Accounts Payable (AP) Intelligence™ platform, today announced that Maex Ament has joined its Board of Directors.

Ament has one of the most extensive and distinguished careers in the financial transformation space. He was a co-founder of AP automation pioneer Ebydos AG (acquired by ReadSoft), served as CTO of ReadSoft, was a co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Taulia (acquired by SAP), and co-founded and served as CEO of Centrifuge, the platform for tokenized real-world assets. He advises and invests in select companies in the AP automation space.

Ament helped pioneer Taulia’s innovative dynamic discounting platform and user-friendly portal, helping small businesses gain access to competitive financing and avoid predatory loans. At Taulia, Ament worked alongside Joe Hyland (now President of Direct Commerce) and Jesse Henry (Head of GTM at Direct Commerce) to bring these solutions to market.
