Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is expected to miss two weeks due to a right hamstring strain, according to ESPN’s insider Shams Charania on Monday.
Edwards started against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. However, he exited the game after three minutes and never returned. The early-season injury will come as a blow to the Timberwolves, whose hopes of another deep run rest on the shoulders of the former Georgia star.

Naz Reid hopeful that Anthony Edwards will make a quick recovery
Naz Reid spoke to reporters after the win over Indiana about the injury to teammate Anthony Edwards. He shared his thoughts when asked about what Minnesota would have to do without its star guard.
"Just be us," Reid said. "I think we can all pick up the load and do what we do best. We don't have to overreact. Just do what we've been doing and be consistent. Obviously, having Ant is a luxury, but I think he'll be alright. I think he'll play tomorrow. We've seen this plenty of times before."

Ant Man in the past has made quick recoveries from injuries, and sometimes had to play through pain. However, the Timberwolves will be wary of rushing his return as past experiences suggest that injuries to soft tissue can be as dangerous if not managed properly.
The Timberwolves have a tough game against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets on Monday. How Minnesota responds will determine whether they can beat the best without their talisman.
