Anime NYC had a successful 2024 with more than approximately 100,000 attendees based on the ticket sale numbers before its 3-day long event from August 23rd to the 25th. With the 3-Day pass and AnimeNYC+ tickets sold out within a day of the digital store going live. It was a very eventful weekend with the American Manga Awards preceding it, to a host of announcements, panels, guest appearances, and exhibitors present within the Javits Center.
So it comes as to no surprise that with the large attendance numbers, and success of the 2024 event, that Anime NYC would let the world know on their X/Twitter, that the New York Based Anime convention will be expanding from the usual 3 days to 4. These days are now from August 21st to the 24th, with Thursday hours from 4PM to 8PM, only 4 hours for the first day of the event. There will be also special programming on the Main Stage to make the day even more “Epic” for those who are willing to join.
As 2024 comes to a close, I am sure there will be more news and announcements to come from Anime NYC leading into the summer of 2025. So keep your eyes and ears out for more, and feel free to stay tuned to The Beat as we will cover any and all Anime NYC news to come!
