There is no doubt Angel Reese is enjoying life on and off the court. The Atlanta Dream star recently showed off her new Rolls-Royce Cullinan on social media, drawing plenty of attention from fans and fellow players around the WNBA. One reaction, however, stood out from the rest.
Former Chicago Sky teammate Marina Mabrey couldn't hide her envy after seeing Reese's luxury vehicle.
"Ok yeah I'm officially jealous I want that car," Mabrey wrote in response to Reese's post.
Reese's answer quickly caught attention.
"I'll pick you up after the dub on Monday," Reese replied.
The playful exchange showcased the close friendship the two stars built during their time together in Chicago. Even though they're now on different teams, the bond between Reese and Mabrey clearly remains strong.
Reese and Mabrey remain close after Chicago Sky days
Reese and Mabrey spent Reese's rookie season together with the Sky and quickly became one of the team's most recognizable friendships. Since then, both players have taken very different paths.
Mabrey landed with the Toronto Tempo after being selected in the expansion draft, while Reese was traded to the Dream in a blockbuster move that surprised many around the league. Despite the changes, the friendly trash talk ahead of Monday's matchup between Atlanta and Toronto suggests their relationship hasn't changed much.
Angel Reese thriving with Atlanta Dream
Reese has been one of the biggest reasons for Atlanta's success this season. The Dream enter the upcoming matchup with an 11-4 record and sit atop the Eastern Conference standings. Atlanta has also won three straight games, including two victories over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
The former LSU star continues to put up impressive numbers, averaging 15.2 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while serving as one of the league's most dominant interior forces. Her impact has helped transform Atlanta into a legitimate championship contender.

Toronto looking to keep pace in playoff race
While Atlanta has surged near the top of the standings, Toronto has experienced a more uneven start in its inaugural season. The Tempo enter the week at 8-8 but remain firmly in the playoff conversation. Mabrey has played a key role in helping the expansion franchise stay competitive despite dealing with injuries and roster adjustments throughout the year.
Toronto will have an opportunity to make a statement when it visits Atlanta on Monday. And if Reese gets her wish, she may have some extra bragging rights when she offers Mabrey that Rolls-Royce ride after the game.
