Angel Reese dating timeline: History of boyfriends from Jalen Duren to Wendall Carter Jr.

The hits keep coming for Angel Reese, the WNBA's greatest-ever rebounder who has entrenched herself as one of women's basketball's greatest luminaries in recent years.

The Maryland and LSU product posted splendid figures across her collegiate career. She has maintained that level of performance as a fully-fledged professional, emerging as a secondary playmaker while improving her skills at the rim. Her defensive versatility and rebounding prowess has continued to shine at the next level, making her one of the sport's most effective players.

That has helped make Reese an off-the-court superstar, too. The Dream talent draws camera flashes, be that as a player, model, designer or influencer.

Like any superstar, Reese's dating life doesn't trail too far from the spotlight. And although she has stayed fairly quiet regarding her romantic history, Reese has offered some hints every now and then.

Dontay Demus Jr.

Reese was briefly linked with former Maryland and Ravens WR while the two starred for the Terrapins. Reese celebrated Demus' accomplishments with a succinct tweet that came on Nov. 19, 2022, the same day Demus posted a season-high in receptions and yards in Maryland's 43-30 loss to Ohio State.

Cam'Ron Fletcher

Reese's first high-profile romance was to Cam'Ron Fletcher, a former Kentucky, Florida State and Xavier talent who spent the final season of his collegiate career at High Point.

Reese confirmed that her and the St. Louis native were an item during an appearance on the "1 Star Recruit" podcast in June 2023. The pair had known each other for six years before dating.

"Cam'Ron is my boyfriend, yes," Reese said. "We both play the same sport so we understand each other's schedule. I think that also helps."

They split by March 2024, with Reese confirming her breakup with Fletcher while speaking to her followers on Instagram Live.

"Yeah, I'm single,” Reese said. "I don't got no man. Don't attach me to no man. That's all I'mma say. That's it.”

Jalen Duren

Reese was linked with Jalen Duren, the Pistons' All-Star center, throughout the 2024 season. Speculation ran rife after Reese and Duren posted seemingly identical backdrops on their Instagram stories during the Olympic break in 2024.

Neither Reese nor Duren confirmed outright that they were an item. While speaking on her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast in Sept. 2024, Reese revealed that she was single. She put out feelers on her next catch, however, proclaiming that her next lover must be tall and, preferably, in the NBA.

Wendell Carter Jr.

Reese's words were a premonition of sorts. She found her latest beau in the form of Wendell Carter Jr., the former Duke standout who has enjoyed a successful tenure with the Magic.

Prior to announcement of her and Carter's romance, Reese had been adamant that she wouldn't delve into the details of her romantic life.

Carter didn't hide his affinity for Reese during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. In fact, he pulled up to the spectacle decked in Reese's colors -- literally. He wore a tee shirt that starred the then-Sky standout.

Were they friends? Were they lovers? Rumors swirled like smoke as Reese immortalized the romantic offerings she had collected from a mystery beau on social media. She even sported all Magic attire during a Nov. 2025 Tik Tok, further fueling rumors that the they were a couple.

Carter was coy, referring to Reese as both his "homie" and "his girl" during an appearance on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" that month.

"Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out," Carter told host Michelle Beadle. "We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”

Things got far less inconspicuous in the next month, with Carter wearing an Orlando kit complete with a "My Man" nameplate.

The hints became all the more glaring during the Magic and Pistons' first-round playoff series in 2026. Every time an Orlando player took flight against Duren, Reese posted it on Instagram. Carter was the first to accomplish the feat. Reese's subsequent post set off fireworks on social media.

Nothing is for certain, obviously. But all signs point to Reese and Carter being in a relationship with one another at the moment.
