Angel Reese called out for poor performance against the Liberty

The Chicago Sky struggled through the team's match against the New York Liberty Thursday night, and the team's star Angel Reese was on the receiving end of a lot of frustration from fans online.

Reese uncharacteristically struggled to hit shots throughout the game (to the point that game commentators described her statline as "fascinating" in a less-than-positive manner). She ended the game with 12 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 points.

"Angel Reese I usually defend u but that shit was so unnecessary. Like your playing against 2 elite shot blockers u gotta know when to pass it back out," one fan wrote on X alongside a video of Reese missing layups. 

Another fan shared a series of game notes they said was not photoshopped — and that showed Reese had a particularly tough night in terms of shooting.
