Pro-wrestler Andy “The Butcher” Williams had knocked his head on a ringpost during a wrestling match in Pennsylvania before he died on Friday night, according to frantic 911 audio.
Williams, 48, was participating in a tag team match with partner Jesse “The Blade” Guilmette at Mr. Small’s Theatre in Millvale, Pa. on Friday when the call for the injury came through, according to a recording of 911 operators’ communications obtained by TMZ.

Operators can be heard requesting “lifting assistance” at the theatre in another call, adding that cops and EMS are already on scene.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Williams died following a medical crisis, but no preliminary cause of death was stated.
During the match, doctors ran into the ring when it became apparent that Williams wasn’t doing well, according to the Pittsburgh-based organization Love Wrestling, which organized the event.
Officials confirmed that Williams, who also played rhythm guitar for a metalcore band, died in the hospital following a medical crisis, but no cause of death was stated. Amy Harris/Invision/APDoctors gave him CPR before rushing him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the organization said.
The company later wrote “Butcher Forever” in an X post.
Williams is best known to wrestling fans as “The Butcher,” and he wrestled as a part of All Elite Wrestling’s stable for nearly seven years.
The company said that it was “saddened” by his death in a statement.
Williams was also an accomplished musician who played rhythm guitar for the metalcore band Every Time I Die.
