The Kansas City Chiefs have had a fine offseason as the franchise has addressed team needs, while trying to reshape the defense by saying goodbye to two starters.
Now with two first-round picks, the Chiefs have the luxury of getting two Day 1 starters, to go along with their free agency work.
Exactly where the Chiefs should use those two picks is up for debate, with a handful of needs, the franchise could go nearly anywhere it wanted.
But for ESPN's Nate Taylor, there are two positions that Kansas City has to address in the draft.
“The Chiefs don't have a quality pass rusher on the edge opposite George Karlaftis,” Taylor wrote. “And even after tight end Travis Kelce returned, the Chiefs could use another talented receiver to play alongside Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.”

Chiefs can hit on both picks
I don't remember the last time the Chiefs had a first-round pick as high as No. 9, let alone having two first-round selections.
This makes what general manager Brett Veach and his team do with them a fascinating watch.
Pass rush is a big need, and we have seen some mocks have the Chiefs taking David Bailey if he falls that far. Receiver is also an interesting one.
Behind Rice and Worthy, there isn't much for Patrick Mahomes to throw to. That has to change.
With the ability to go in any direction, the Chiefs loom as a must-watch on draft night, because this soft reset might see Kansas City bounce back in a big way in 2026.
