Analyst offers interesting Breece Hall future Jets prediction

New York Jets running back Breece Hall and his long-term future are still a big question mark as the offseason workouts loom for Aaron Glenn's team.

With Hall signing the tag, he is locked in for the 2026 season and is set to make $14.2 million, which is nothing to sneeze at. Except there's no long-term security.

Which is why the 2026 season is a crucial one for Hall in his attempts to get a long-term extension, either with the Jets or another team next offseason.

And NFL.com's Kevin Patra, his prediction is that Hall explores free agency next offseason.

"Jets make a late push, but Hall plays 2026 on the tender and hits free agency in 2027," Patra writes.

Should Jets go all-out for Hall?

Well, if we are being honest, running back is perhaps the one position that teams have put a veteran, low-cost free agent into the starting role and gotten good results.

The big question will be, do the Jets see Hall worth what could be a contract of $15 million APY if not more?

If Breece has another good season, the price will only go up, and that is when franchises get cold feet.

There's no doubting Hall's talent, but whether or not the Jets deem his talent good enough for nearly top running back money is another thing entirely.

The good news for Hall is that if the Jets don't pay him next offseason, someone else will.
