Joe Brady has been promoted from offensive coordinator to the head coach of the Buffalo Bills.
The move has been met with contrasting comments. Some don't like the hire, seeing it as baffling given the reasons the franchise moved on from Sean McDermott. Others love it for Josh Allen and the offense.
But Brady now needs to hire a defensive coordinator, and it is here where the first-time head coach has a chance to do something hilarious.
Gregg Rosenthal, who hosts NFL Daily, shared a perfect option for defensive coordinator for the Bills, and yes, I am fairly sure it is tongue-in-cheek from Rosenthal.
if I'm Joe Brady, I am absolutely trying to hire Sean McDermott as my DC. it's a good scheme fit with the players they have

No way Bills hire McDermott, right?
The NFL is a never-say-never league, but the chances of this happening are incredibly low.
After all, why would McDermott return to the team that fired him, and in a reduced role?
But it is a funny avenue that Brady could go down, and we are fairly sure Rosenthal is joking here, but it would be an interesting conversation if Brady told owner Terry Pegula that he wanted Sean as his defensive coordinator.
I wonder how that conversation would go...
