Amanda Peet is in good spirits following her stage 1 breast cancer diagnosis in 2025.
“I’m doing great,” the actress told Page Six at the Cinema Society screening of “Fantasy Life” Thursday in NYC.
The actress, who found out about her cancer at the same time both of her parents were in hospice, added that she was going through “a lot” during that time.
Peet, 54, wrote about her challenges in a New Yorker article earlier this month, explaining to us that “it was helpful to get it on paper.”
Peet lost her father in the fall just before learning her diagnosis and lost her mom in January 2026.
After undergoing a lumpectomy and radiation, Peet has been back and busy with her latest work projects.
In “Fantasy Life,” she plays a woman in a rocky marriage who strikes up a relationship with her daughter’s male nanny.
Peet — who shares three children with husband David Benioff, says she was drawn to the movie because of the script.
“I really love the writing,” she explained of the film, which was written and directed by her co-star Matthew Shear.
“It reminded me of old movies from New York in the ’70s, and he has just a very particular New York Jewish sense of humor that I think is very simpatico with me, so within I think 15 pages, I was like I want to do this movie, even if I’m playing a shop girl or something.”
Peet also plays Jon Hamm’s ex-wife in the second season of “Your Friends and Neighbors,” which comes out on Apple TV+ on April 3.

In the show, Peet’s character is in a relationship with her hunky co-star Mark Tallman.
“It’s not normal, and it’s really weird,” she laughed of working alongside two very attractive men. “It’s insane, and now James Marsden is being added!”
Marsden joined the newest season playing Owen Ashe, a new neighbor who poses a threat to Hamm’s character.
Other boldfaced names at the screening and afterparty at West Village hot spot DejaVu included Andrea Martin, Zosia Mamet, Peter Dinklage, Diane Lane, and Tallman.
