Amal Clooney just debuted a brand-new hairstyle — with a brand-new name.
Hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos shared a carousel of images of Clooney on Monday night with distinctly shorter locks than she typically bears.
In the caption of the image, Giannetos coins the new look “the bubble blowout,” adding, “[a] new chop for Amal Clooney!”
While classic blowouts have become part of Clooney’s signature style, loose curls would cascade down her back, nearly reaching her waist, on most occasions.
Now that she’s opted for a fresh chop, those timeless blowouts result in a whole new look — and one that is reminiscent of Kate Middleton’s go-to.
Vogue reveals that the stylist “cut off between six and eight inches of hair,” finishing the look off with a straight blow dry.
To that, he added, “Amal has never had a haircut like this before.”
Curling her ends ever so slightly, the side-parted look offers a rounded shape at the base, leading to its newly coined name.
As if Clooney wasn’t elegant and timeless enough before the cut, Giannetos described, “it’s a power cut … it’s sophisticated and modern.”
From Jennifer Aniston’s “The Rachel” to Farrah Fawcett’s feathered ‘do before her, could the “bubble blowout” be the next big hair trend on the horizon?
