There has been so much talk comparing Abdul Carter to Micah Parsons.
It all makes sense. Same college (Penn State), same position (edge rusher), same number (11) and same seek-and-destroy style of playing the game on defense (just check their highlights).
Ideally, the Giants hope getting Carter with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is some sort of karmic payback for the previous regime passing over Parsons in the 2021 draft. Parsons, in his four seasons with the Cowboys, has 52.5 sacks, 63 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles and several game-wrecking moments against the Giants. He is a worthy football doppelgänger for Carter to aspire to be.
There are also parts of his game that conjure images of Giants pass rushers of the past. Take it from one former Giants offensive lineman with an astute eye for what it takes to deal with an oncoming freight train defender intent on doing damage to the opposing quarterback.
