All nautilus armors in Minecraft and where to find them

Minecraft will soon be getting the nautilus mob along with the spear weapon, zombie horseman, and the recently announced parched and camel husk. The final version of all the new features will be released by the end of the year. However, you can try out all of these in the beta form now. While there are many items, the nautilus armor is quite interesting.

The nautilus armor will protect your nautilus as you can ride this mob to explore the underwater world and even fight the drowned on the zombie nautilus. Just like normal armor, there are five different types of nautilus armor you can find scattered around the blocky world. This article will explain where you can get all of them.

Where to find all nautilus armors in Minecraft

Just like regular armor sets, nautilus armors have different tiers with the copper nautilus armor being the most common while the diamond version being the rarest and most difficult to find.

You can find all the nautilus armor variants, except the netherite version, in buried treasures, shipwrecks, and underwater ruins. However, the probability differs based on the type of armor.

For example, there is a 10.8% probability of finding the copper nautilus chest in all these locations, the highest amongst all variants. If you come across a supply chest, you are more likely to find the copper nautilus armor.

Then comes the iron variant at 5.4% probably, then you have the gold version at 2.7%. The rarest version, diamond nautilus armor, has a probability of 1.1% making it very difficult to find.

You cannot find the netherite nautilus armor from loot chests because you will have to create one using diamond nautilus armor with the netherite upgrade and a netherite ingot using the smithing table.

Considering how rare netherite upgrades and ingots are, the netherite nautilus armor is the rarest version in Minecraft. They are also the strongest one, so it makes the armor worth the effort.

You can equip the armor on a tamed nautilus and then ride it to explore the underwater world. The copper nautilus armor has four armor points while the netherite version has a whopping 19 armor points. This variant also has one Knockback resistance as well, making it ideal for spear fights.

Another interesting aspect is that you can smelt the copper, iron, and gold nautilus armor to turn them into nuggets of the metal version. You can use coal, lava, charcoal, and wood as the fuel for the smelting process.

Mojang Studios has not revealed the exact release date for The Mounts of Mayhem game drop but you can expect the update to come by the end of the year.
