Drew Allar returns to one of the Big Ten's most experienced teams. Not only will the focus shine brightly on Penn State, but also on Allar's immediate future as it pertains to the NFL.
Although nearly a year separates Allar from taking the next step toward NFL stardom, draft experts like Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer have begun to note how good the Nittany Lions star could be at the next level.
"I think I’d go with Allar," Breer wrote regarding his favorite prospect. "He and [Cade] Klubnik are the only guys in the above group that have multiple years starting under their belts. He’s also got plus size and arm strength, and moves around better than some folks think. And my bet would be that NFL guys are really going to like him, the more they get around him."
Allar said this past December that his biggest concern lies with his team. Anyone outside of his circle, though, is an afterthought.
"At the end of the day, our process is our process," Allar said via Penn Live. "The only things that matter are the ones that are in the building, day to day, and know what’s going on behind the scenes."
Allar said what keeps him grounded is his belief in his abilities while ignoring outside noise, which makes pressure an afterthought.

“We don’t take these moments for granted, but at the end of the day, me personally, I don’t care what anybody said about me from the outside, just because, I saw a quote," Allar said. "Like, why would you take criticism from somebody that you would never take advice from? That kind of sticks with me."
Allar's Penn State team lost the Orange Bowl this past season, but expectations couldn't be higher as it looks ahead to critical rematch games in September and November against the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes, respectively.
Regardless, Allar has a chance to prove Breer right to put a stamp on a memorable college career.
