My partner and I just recently moved and this little cutie has been taking over our porch. We

  • 03

were unsure if they were a boy or a girl but now looking at the photos I think it's a girl, and she appears to

be pregnant. We do have a vet appointment this week to verify. We have been giving her food and

  • 07

water for a few weeks. She will occasionally let us pet her but for the most part she will just stay

  • 08

close by us and purr. She seems to be slowly building trust with us. Right now she hasn't been.

interested in coming inside the house but once she is vaccinated I do plan on trying to transition her

into the house, as the temperatures here in AZ get really high, but have to wait for her to be

  • She's absolutely gorgeous, and I'll be curious to see if the couple keeps her and her kittens in the end, seeing as they already have other cats.

vaccinated since we have inside cats we need to protect. My partner wants to name her

two-face from Batman because of her coloring.

Artistic-Mood7938 That's a tortie. Very very rarely are torties male. That's

  • 14

definitely a female and she is pregnant

anne_k96 We took in a stray tortie last year who turned out to be

  • 17

pregnant! She ended up having 5 kittens, and we kept two of them and her and

  • 18

adopted the others out to my family

  • Saving this pregnant cat is the only smart thing to do in this situation. I didn't even know that tortie's were almost all female. I found out recently that orange cats are almost all male and it sort of shattered me. I'm a gingy myself, and I always thought that I'd get a gingy female cat and we'd be like little twins. She'd be my mini me, but then I learned that they're usually male. It's okay and I can still get a female one, but it shattered my notion of this breed and it's not easy to experience that.
