After happy ghasts, Minecraft fans want a friendly variant of ravagers

Minecraft recently got the Chase the Skies update that added the happy ghast mob. As the name suggests, this is the friendlier version of the fire-spitting ghast found in the Nether that players can tame and fly in the Overworld. This addition has also shown how other potential mobs can have a friendlier version and how much they can improve the gameplay experience.

A Minecraft player made a post on the game’s subreddit suggesting the idea of a happy ravager. For those who do not know, the ravager is a hostile mob that only spawns with the illagers and attacks the player during a village raid.

These tanky animals are very difficult to take down and if Mojang Studios were to add a friendlier version of the mob, what unique ability would it give the players. The original poster added that if not the ravager, the developers can add something that is similar to this giant hostile mob.

u/HardBodyGeek suggested that this concept mob could be equipped with a saddle and players can even ride them. They added that the upcoming Mounts of Mayhem game drop would be perfect for such a mob as the update is all about mobs that can be ridden.

u/Otherversian-Elite said that perhaps there could be a ravager that is raised in good conditions and it grows to become a passive mob. The user added that this mob would be a villager mob.

There is a fan-theory in the Minecraft community that the illagers kidnap the villagers and mutate them into the ravager as their faces look very similar. However, it is just a fan theory and Mojang Studios have made no indication about it being true.

A new mob is coming to Minecraft

Mojang Studios announced the Mounts of Mayhem game drop, releasing by the end of the year. This update will add the spear weapon and the nautilus mob. The nautilus will be a special addition as it will be the first underwater mob that players can ride. The oceans have been quite simple and uninteresting for a long time and the upcoming might be the first step towards a positive change.

Since the nautilus is all about underwater exploration and combat, perhaps the developers can add more features and underwater biomes that are worth exploring. Mojang Studios should add more content in the ocean, even with gradual updates.
