Morocco have been crowned Africa Cup of Nations winners after a major ruling today overturned Senegal’s victory in the final.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Appeal Board has ruled that Senegal have been stripped of their title for walking off the pitch in protest at Morocco being awarded a late penalty. The spot-kick was eventually missed and Senegal won 1-0 in extra time.
The decision now leaves the result being recorded as a 3-0 win for Morocco.

Moroccan football's governing body, the FRMF, appealed the result and the ruling to overturn Senegal's victory was made on Tuesday.
