A former AEW World Tag Team Champion got betrayed and suffered a loss in his match on the most recent episode of Collision. The tag team match opened the Saturday show.

On the latest Collision episode, both Anthony Bowens and AEW star, Max Caster as well as Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita were set to team up again despite their differences. The duo of Takeshita and Okada failed to capture the World Tag Team titles at WrestleDream 2025, as there was some miscommunication between the two.

Nonetheless, Don Callis convinced them to team up yet again this past Wednesday on Dynamite. The team of Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita squared off against Anthony Bowens and Max Caster in a tag encounter. The tension was seen between The Alpha and The Rainmaker yet again.

On the other hand, Bowens and Caster got into a little brawl mid-match, as Max got betrayed and ended up taking the pin from Takeshita. The Acclaimed broke up several months ago, but Caster and Bowens have teamed up on multiple occasions despite the separation, just like on Collision.

AEW star claims popular faction is not coming back

The AEW star, Max Caster recently claimed that The Acclaimed is not coming back despite him teaming with Anthony Bowens multiple times after the breakup. In an exclusive backstage promo, Caster said the following:

"This is not The Acclaimed... The Acclaimed is not coming back. I don't know why everybody wants a sequel. You say you want it, but you don't want it. You don't wanna see another one. It was a moment in time, all you want is the moment, all you want is nostalgia. Look to the future, allow me to be better than what I already was."

Well, both Max Caster and Anthony Bowens have moved on to their singles path, and only time will tell what's next for them.
