AEW President Tony Khan recently made a heartbreaking announcement. Last year, major pro wrestling companies collaborated to participate in a super show called Wrestle Dynasty. AEW, NJPW, CMLL, STARDOM, and ROH put together a great pay-per-view in January 2025.
Wrestle Dynasty featured stars like Mercedes Mone, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Athena, Dustin Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and many more. The show also marked the long-awaited in-ring return of Kenny Omega, who had been out of action for over a year, against Gabe Kidd. Ricochet and Zack Sabre Jr. headlined the pay-per-view with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
Tony Khan had to share some bad news regarding Wrestle Dynasty on the Full Gear media call. He said the event will not take place in 2026 as NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom will be taking place during the same time. He also hinted at bringing back the mega event sometime down the line.
