Additionally, Swerve Strickland dropped a cryptic remark on a comment made by a former WWE Champion. Not only that a former TNT Champion recently completed 15 years in his professional wrestling career. So without further ado, let's get on to it:
#4. WWE drops a huge Adam Copeland (fka Edge) reference
There were several rumors that Edge, a.k.a. Adam Copeland, could make a return to WWE. While those rumors never materialized, the Stamford-based promotion has continued to drop subtle references to Adam Copeland. Recently, WWE posted a video on their WWE Vault YouTube Channel that featured one of Edge's matches from his career in the company.
The bout in question was Rated-RKO & Umaga vs. Evolution from 2007, boasting a stacked RAW lineup with Randy Orton, Batista, Triple H, and Ric Flair. Moreover, such references often push the WWE Universe to think that Adam Copeland might make a comeback to WWE in the coming months. However, it is pretty unlikely to happen as Copeland is busy with his Hollywood commitments, yet amid the AEW hiatus.
#3. Mercedes Mone celebrated the anniversary of her first date
Mercedes Mone has been dating AEW star Beast Mortos for quite some time. The couple made their relationship public in June this year, and it is believed that they were together long before that. Recently, the couple revealed that they are celebrating their first date anniversary. They shared an intimate moment with their fans to mark a year of togetherness.
Beast Mortos shared an Instagram story where the two stars were sitting at a beautiful restaurant. The AEW star wished The CEO the anniversary with this Instagram story. The couple often showcases their love for each other through social media posts. While they are yet to partner on-screen, they have become a popular couple among the AEW fans.
#2. Swerve Strickland sends a cryptic message to Bryan Danielson
Former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson has been working as the color commentator for AEW shows. Recently, he made a poetic remark for Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page's team on AEW Winter Is Coming. That comment was enough to encapsulate the magnitude of Strickland and Page's alliance. Fans were impressed with the mic work of the former AEW World Champion.
Swerve Strickland reacted to this comment with a cryptic remark on his X handle. He reshared the comment with a devil emoji as his reaction to Danielson's commentary. It was a pretty unique way for Swerve to acknowledge Bryan's work, especially considering the feud between the two stars last year. Moreover, Strickland and Page defeated The Opps at Winter Is Coming this week.
#1. AEW's Sammy Guevara completed 15 years of his career
Sammy Guevara began his wrestling journey in 2010 at Booker T's Reality of Wrestling training school. He then went on to compete for promotions like PWG and MLW until 2019, when he got signed with All Elite Wrestling. From the initial days, Guevara established the identity of a "pillar" in the Jacksonville-based promotion due to his performance.
This week, the 32-year-old took to X to share a few glimpses of his wrestling career. The former TNT Champion revealed that it has been 15 years in his pro-wrestling career. He motivated his fans to continue working hard and be brave enough to follow their dreams. This post garnered a lot of attention among the fans as many wished him the best of luck for the future.
