Following her successful solo exhibition in Bangkok titled “One Vision One Soul,” artist Adelia Shakurova continues to expand her artistic imprint across Asia. This holiday season — just days before Christmas — Shakurova is set to unveil her latest body of work at The Starhill Kuala Lumpur in a dynamic new exhibition titled “Blush & Brilliance.” Known for her dreamlike compositions enriched with gold leaf, crushed glass and natural crystals, Shakurova’s pieces are designed to be “experienced” rather than simply seen on canvas. “I do not paint images, I paint frequencies,” says Shakurova.

The title reflects the duality that defines her creative language. “Blush” represents the softness of femininity, emotional depth and the quiet poetry of vulnerability while “brilliance” is the radiant glow of gold, resilience and the luminous power of spiritual illumination. The timing is intentional — December is a month of reflection, warmth and renewal. Adelia’s art mirrors this energy, offering visitors a space to reconnect with beauty, light and inner radiance amidst the festive atmosphere. “Blush & Brilliance is about returning to beauty,” Shakurova shares. “Not surface beauty, but soul beauty — the kind that glows from within, even in the quietest moments.”

Working with resin, layered textures and light-reactive materials, Adelia creates pieces that sit between the physical and the emotional. Every time I use it, I work with intention.”

Alongside gold, she incorporates stones such as white quartz, known for its purity, clarity and amplifying energy. The crystals serve as grounding anchors, blending earth’s natural frequencies with her dreamlike universes of texture and light. “Gold is divine illumination,” Adelia explains. “It represents abundance, wisdom and the light we carry within ourselves. Every time I apply it, I set an intention: clarity, elevation, expansion.”
