She is “chasing” a new dream.
Adele is set to make her acting debut in Tom Ford’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s “Cry to Heaven.”
The “Chasing Pavements” singer’s role in the movie — which has an anticipated late fall 2026 release date — remains unclear at this time.
Deadline reports the film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome with principal photography slated to start in mid-January.
The film is based on Rice’s 1982 novel of the same name, which follows “two men castrated to ensure their perfect soprano voices” in 18th-century Italy, per the author’s website.
“Guido Maffeo is castrated at age 6 and enters the conservatory. He becomes a star until he loses his voice. When his voice is gone, he becomes a teacher, searching for a boy who can fulfill his lost dream,” reads the novel’s synopsis in part.
