Grammys 2026: Addison Rae Addresses Misconceptions About Her Life

Addison Rae is keeping her headphones on when it comes to public opinion.

In fact, the first-time Grammy nominee—who is up for Best New Artist at the 2026 ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah—didn’t hesitate when asked which misconception about herself she most wished to clarify for fans.

“Honestly, nothing,” she told Zuri Hall in an exclusive interview during Live From E!: Grammys at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Feb. 1. “I wish they knew less.” (To see every star who walked the red carpet at the 2026 Grammys, click here.)

But the “Diet Pepsi” singer—who is nominated alongside Olivia Dean, Katseye, The Marías, Sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren and Lola Youngwas happy to divulge one tidbit about herself: how much of the carbonated soft drink she really consumes.

“I actually drink a lot of Diet Pepsi,” she revealed. “It's in all my green rooms. It's probably in my green room now.”

And the 25-year-old, who wore a custom Alaïa dress to the event, noted that she’ll be ready to raise a glass if she walks away from the event as a Grammy winner, adding, “I'll have a Diet Pepsi to celebrate.”

“It's been such a whirlwind of emotions overall,” she explained. “The last year and a half has been really crazy, but tonight, seeing a lot of beautiful faces and being here with you, it feels like a dream come true. And I'm so lucky.”

As such, Addison is eager to keep up her career momentum.

“I try and slow myself down, but I'm very ambitious,” she continued. “I have a lot of dreams and goals, and you only live once, so not much promised time to accomplish all the goals. But [I’m] very much taking this moment in and appreciating it, and I'm really happy to be here.”
