It goes without saying that DC’s Absolute Universe has been an unequivocal success since it launched over a year ago. To celebrate the one-year anniversary launch of the Absolute Universe this October, DC has announced two oversized Absolute Universe one-shot specials and five pivotal new Absolute Universe issues, each delivering shocking moments that redefine the boundaries of DC’s newest universe.
First up, is Absolute Evil #1 written by Al Ewing, with art and main cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi. Variant covers will be provided by Fabrizio De Tommaso, Gerald Parel, Dustin Nguyen, and Riley Rossmo, with a foil variant cover also illustrated by Rossmo. Available October 1, this one-shot is all about the baddies with the publisher teasing big things in year two.

According to the solicit information, not only does Batman’s showdown with Bane come to a head but Absolute Catwoman makes the scene.
