Aaron Glenn is on a mission to clean up the Jets’ act — can he do it?

Aaron Glenn is planting his flag and trying to get referees to stop throwing theirs on the Jets.

The new coach has put an emphasis early in training camp on changing the Jets from the most penalized team in the NFL into a team with more discipline than a monastery.

“You cannot win games in this league with an undisciplined team,” Glenn said Friday. “All the penalties that we had last year, we’re knocking those things out.”

Under former coach Robert Saleh, the Jets became one of the most penalized teams around. Their 137 accepted penalties were the most in 2024. They also led the league in 2023 with 124. Over the four seasons from 2021-24 when Saleh and then interim coach Jeff Ulbrich were in charge, the Jets had the third-most penalties with 455, according to Elias Sports Bureau. Only the Cowboys and Titans had more.
