The criminality of Hamas is so blatant that even a top United Nations official has had to admit that the fanatical terror group is a plague on ordinary Gazans: Will the fools in the Free Palestine mob finally wake up and realize they’ve been backing the baddies?
Ramiz Alakbarov, who leads UN humanitarian efforts in Gaza, on Sunday sharply condemned the “de facto authorities” in Gaza after armed Hamas thugs invaded a food-distribution center and an aid warehouse, “assaulting” workers and blocking “humanitarian operations.”
At last, a UN insider called out the real savages in Gaza, namely the Hamas death cult that spent billions on building a massive bomb-hardened tunnel network, buying munitions and creating a massive terrorist arm, then initiated war with Israel and did nothing to protect the population — indeed used civilians as human shields.
Alakbarov’s belated admission reflects the ongoing, repressed frustration with Hamas that aid workers usually express in whispers.
The Post has extensively covered how international aid agencies have long felt obliged to rely on Hamas, which holds the keys to Gaza (everywhere Israeli forces don’t directly control) — and, like any Mafia “protection” outfit, routinely diverts much aid for its own use and ensures that only its friends get access to the leftovers.
The UN statement also makes it clear that Hamas interference with humanitarian operations is nothing new. “These incidents are not isolated,” fumes Alakbarov, but rather “reflect an increasingly dangerous pattern of intimidation, violence and obstruction, including smuggling attempts, targeting and abusing humanitarian operations.”
It’s time for the entire UN bureaucracy to admit these murderous gangsters, the “de facto authorities” in Gaza, have been driving ordinary people’s misery for years.
Time, too, for the international aid “regulars” to admit that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation had the right approach.

Backed by Israel and the United States, the GHF for a few too-brief weeks last year distributed food aid to the people of Gaza — until Hamas staged massacres around the distribution sites, slaughtering Gazans who accepted the aid and provoking security-force responses and joining with the “aid community” to promote the lie that the Israelis were to blame.
Sadly, it’s an excellent bet that UN insiders, global media international-aid nonprofiteers and the whole sorry lot of them will just memory-hole Alabarkov’s truth-telling.
They’re too wedded to the Big Lies of Israeli “genocide” and Hamas “freedom fighting” to do a damn thing for the people of Gaza.
