A'ja Wilson has been named this year's WNBA MVP, making this the fourth time she's received the award. Wilson is the first player to be named MVP four times, meaning she is now truly in a class of her own.
(She was previously named MVP in 2020, 2022, and 2024.)
Wilson received 51 of 72 first place votes and 21 second place votes. The Lynx's Napheesa Collier received 18 first place votes and 42 second place votes.

Alyssa Thomas, Allisha Gray, and Kelsey Mitchell were third, fourth, and fifth in terms of voting, respectively.
According to the WNBA's press release, this season Wilson finished among the top five in the WNBA in points (No. 1), rebounds (No. 2), blocks (No. 1) and steals (No. 4) per game for the second consecutive year — the only other player to pull off the same stats was Yolanda Griffith in 1999. Wilson also set a WNBA single-season record for games of 30 or more points with 13 and led the league with 25 games of 20 or more points this season and her 21 double-doubles included 16 games with at least 20 points.
This year's vote also means Wilson has broken the record previously shared by Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson, who were each named MVP three times in their own careers. sLeslie didn't fail to comment on the feat. "Congratulations @aja22wilson I could not be more proud of you! You fought for absolutely everything you have earned!!! 💚💕 4X MVP👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽," Leslie wrote on social media.
