• Those ears may look a little oversized right now, but they'll be perfectly proportioned before long. Kittens have a funny way of growing into features that seem way too big for them at first. Until then, those giant ears just add to the charm. They make every curious head tilt and every little look even more adorable. Besides, if this sweet calico keeps those ears for a while, that's just more cuteness for everyone to enjoy.

• The calico branch of the Cat Distribution System must've taken this one as a personal request. Someone heard there was a human out there hoping for a calico and made sure one showed up as quickly as possible. No shelter visits, no endless searching, just a tiny kitten appearing at exactly the right moment. If the CDS hands out employee of the month awards, whoever handled this assignment definitely deserves the recognition.

• Talk about an instant glow-up. One minute this little kitty was out fending for itself, and the next it had a loving home, a full belly, and a human who'd been wishing for a calico all along. That's the kind of upgrade every cat deserves. Judging by how confidently this little one walked into the apartment, it seems like she knew her life was about to change for the better before anyone else did.
