A$AP Rocky needs to go on and take a bow.
The rapper succeeded in throwing Rihanna a surprise celebration for her 38th birthday on Friday.
The couple dined at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., with the “Diamonds” artist wearing a sheer black dress, matching heels and faux fur jacket.
Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, opted for a checkered shirt, tan pants and shades.
The private room was decorated with silver balloons that read “Happy Birthday” and a slew of red, white, green and blue balloons floated above the table, as well.
Baby blue tablecloths and flowers were placed on the table.
Rihanna and Rocky, 37, have remained a power couple since first being linked in November 2020.

Earlier this month, the fashion designer had a cheeky response after a young student asked if he and the Grammy winner, who share kids RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and Rocki, 3 months, are married.
“That’s an interesting question that you asked,” Rocky answered while on the Feb. 4 episode of the “Celebrity Substitute.” “You want Rihanna, huh? Well you got me. You got me today.”
Over the years the duo has referred to one another as husband and wife.
Despite dodging the inquiry, the artist did share his kids’ love of music.
“I play my children all sorts of genres, from Michael Jackson and other old classic stuff to psychedelic music,” Rocky shared with the students. “The Beatles, of course. A lot of reggae. We live in a musical household, so it’s very diverse.”
The pair welcomed their third child, and first daughter, in September, four months after the “Umbrella” songstress debuted her pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala in May.
At the time, Rocky told reporters that “it feels amazing” to be growing his family.
“It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up,” he gushed. “And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
In February 2025, Rihanna got candid about how “every decision” she makes now revolves around her children.
“So I have a weird resentment with the things that I love. You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “And even when you show up there, it’s not 100% because there’s something else on the wheel. It’s actually given me a lot more self-guilt. I don’t like letting people down, but I also know that most of that is me letting myself down, which means something has to change, but everything is on the wheel at all times.”
“I have to keep reminding myself that I asked for this, I love this,” Rihanna added about motherhood. “I try to figure out a balance so that I can feel fulfilled when I show up to something, so I can feel I don’t have any guilt.”
And two years earlier, in 2023, the hitmaker took a moment to reflect on starting a family with her partner.
“We’re best friends, with a baby,” Rihanna explained to British Vogue. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
