The 911 call made in connection to Martin Short’s daughter, Katherine Short’s, tragic death has been revealed.
On the call, a male dispatcher from the Los Angeles Fire Department can be heard confirming with first responders that Short’s wound appeared to be “self-inflicted,” according to audio published by the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
The voice added that the person who reported the incident with authorities was “with the patient and unable to enter the bedroom” of the social worker’s Hollywood Hills, Calif. home.
The Los Angeles Fire Department did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Katherine died on Monday, Feb. 23, of an apparent suicide. She was 42 years old.
Earlier on Tuesday, a rep for the LAFD confirmed to Page Six that first responders responded to a call at Katherine’s address at 6:41 p.m.

“Death was reported of a female,” the department spokesperson told us in a statement.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star’s rep later confirmed “with profound grief” the passing of Martin’s daughter in a statement.
“The Short family is devastated by this loss, and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world,” the message reads.
Katherine was the adopted daughter of the comedian, 75, and his late wife, Nancy Dolman, who died from cancer in 2010. The couple also adopted sons Oliver Patrick, 39, and Henry Hayter, 36, together.
It’s unclear exactly what mental troubles plagued the actor’s eldest daughter. However, it was reported that in the years leading up to her death, she had picked up a service dog to assist with her mental illness.
She announced that she added a furry friend to her life — which she affectionately named Joni after the singer Joni Mitchell — in a post shared to her since-deleted professional website.
“Joni is my incredible service dog, who has been assisting me with my own struggles with mental illness for the past 5 years,” Katherine wrote.
