9 teams that should trade for Philadelphia Eagles QB Tanner McKee

2 hours ago 1

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee had the best performance of any quarterback in a preseason game in recent memory. And while that is the equivalent of winning an imaginary argument, it will get McKee's name thrown around within NFL executive circles near the end of the preseason as a trade target.

Several teams would benefit from acquiring the Stanford product, and these are nine teams that make the most sense.

Miami Dolphins

The Tua Tagovailoa experience has reached its peak, and I'm not subscribing to Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers being quality options. When the Dolphins are 2-6 and on an interim head coach, throw McKee in there with Jaylen Waddle and see what happens.

New York Jets

McKee feels like a much better fit for a Tanner Engstrand, Ben Johnson-descendant offense in which he could be used like Jared Goff than Justin Fields does. If the Fields experiment crashes and burns early on, McKee could be given a shot.

Cleveland Browns

Because why the hell not? What's one more quarterback when you already have half a dozen? McKee is better than every quarterback currently on the Browns' payroll.

Baltimore Ravens

I watched every down of Colts-Ravens - he can't be worse than Cooper Rush.

Indianapolis Colts

I watched every down of Colts-Ravens - he can't be worse than Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence has gotten injured in each of the last two seasons. Do you really trust Nick Mullens as the No. 2?

Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud might actually die behind the Texans' offensive line, so you better have a good backup in place.

New Orleans Saints

He would start tomorrow.

Arizona Cardinals

If it all hits the fan with Kyler Murray in 2025, they'll trade him in the offseason and go into 2026 with McKee as the bridge/training camp competition for a first-round quarterback.
