Who is the new Captain of the 118 in 9-1-1 season 9 episode 6?
Chim is the new captain (Image via @911onabc/Instagram)Chimney has served as the Interim Captain of the 118 following Bobby Nash's death, but he finally takes the leap to stay in the position permanently in 9-1-1 season 9 episode 6. Chimney is the new Captain of 118, and the end of the episode sees him getting sworn in to make the new title officially his.
Chimney becoming "Cap" has been a long time coming, but for one thing or another, he has kept himself from committing to taking over Bobby's old title. For one, he hasn't felt like he could replace Bobby, which, at the beginning of episode 6, his wife Maddie tells him that he can't replace Bobby, but that's because he doesn't have to.
He's also been conflicted with how the rest of the team would feel about him replacing Bobby, especially because of how Bobby saved him and how it ultimately led to the late Captain's death. However, the team has been calling Chimney "Cap" for a while now, and while it's sometimes uttered as a joke, it has been clear all along that if the team were to pick someone to lead them, it would be Chimney.
9-1-1 season 9 episode 6: What's going on with Hen?
Hen at the Med Spa (Image via @911onabc/Instagram)While getting a new permanent Captain at the 118 is good news for the entire team, something else is brewing in the background that will challenge the 118 family, and it involves Hen's possible health problem. The show's mid-season finale leaves the audience with a lot of suspense about Hen's future.
There's a nerve-wracking scene in 9-1-1 season 9 episode 6 where Hen collapses in her living room, waking up what look like hours later. There's also a mysterious rash on her hand, which she chalks up to some sort of allergy, and some concerning tremors. However, she has enough symptoms that concern even her, enough to push her to go to a med spa to get a full-body scan.
Another concerning thing is that she's doing all these in secret. While it's understandable that she wouldn't want to worry anyone in case it's nothing, it's also worrying that she's alone with the anxiety of figuring out what's wrong with her.
More highlights in 9-1-1 season 9 episode 6
Buck trains Harry 9Image via @911onabc/Instagram)9-1-1 season 9 episode 6 has given the fans plenty of highlights, both gory and hopeful in terms of the future. The 118's first emergency in the episode is among them. The rescue call is about a family reunion gone wrong, with family members losing their fingers after a competitive-turned-brutal tug of war.
Having the team pick out severed fingers and find out which one belongs to who, like Buck asking, "Who has French tips?" While holding a severed finger is one of the highlights of the hour. Another one is Harry being accepted to the LAFD academy, though it's not a sure thing in the beginning.
After secretly training with Buck for the exam, he revokes his application after it digs up his old warrant of arrest after a fight at a convenience store in self-defense. But Buck doesn't allow him to give up and introduces him to Chief Simpson, so he can present his case. The Chief gives Harry a shot, and Athena is also happy and supportive of him.
