During the offseason, the Philadelphia 76ers were one of the most aggressive teams in the NBA, which is why they are expected to be among the league’s best teams this season. The 76ers have one of the best starting fives in the entire league.

It didn’t look like things would shape up that way until Philadelphia completed a trade for Jaylen Brown. The NBA champion out of the University of California didn’t feel respected toward the end of his tenure in Boston.

“I wasn’t thrilled with how the conversation was facilitated. I did feel like it was a lack of respect. At one point it was fine, and then out of nowhere it just went left. I definitely think there’s more to it. There definitely is more to it. I know Brad is getting a lot of criticism, but I just wish more of it could have been explained. I just wish they had the respect to tell me exactly what it was, and I would have understood and respected that,” Brown said.

Lately, it also seems that Brown may not have been entirely pleased with Jayson Tatum. Brown admitted that some animosity toward Tatum remains.

“Jayson's a great guy. Like I said, great family, hell of a basketball player, h*ll of a PR team. There's no beef, but it'll be a little lamb chop,” Brown told the media.

It turns out that before Brown was traded to the 76ers, he reportedly gave the Boston Celtics a list of ultimatums to meet or he wanted to be sent to another team. Brian Scalabrine reported this on Monday.

“My understanding is Jaylen Brown went to the organization and had a list of demands. And it was like, ‘You either do this or you trade me,’” Scalabrine said.

This is a wild turn for Brown, as he has painted Boston as the bad guy throughout the situation. However, the latest report suggests that he presented the Celtics with a list of demands that needed to be met. Once those demands went unmet, Brown apparently felt that a trade was the only option.

The 6-foot-6 veteran has positioned himself in Philadelphia as the player who was wronged by his former team. However, according to this report, it seems he may not have been as blindsided as he has let on.
