5-Time WWE United States Champion Officially Confirms He Has Retired - Will Never Wrestle Again: "For Sure"

A WWE legend has confirmed that he has retired. He will never wrestle again in his life.

John Cena spoke up about retiring from WWE once and for all

John Cena spoke up about how he was retired from WWE and he will not be wrestling again. In his interview with Cody Rhodes on the What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast, Cena spoke at length about his last match, his legacy in wrestling, what was next, and why he had tapped out the way he had. One of the things he spoke about here, was with Cody Rhodes officially confirming that Cena had actually retired and that he would never wrestle again.

CR: Knowing you, and I hope I'm not speaking out of turn by saying, that's it, he will not be wrestling again.

Cena said that was indeed the case and that he was done with wrestling.

JC: That's for sure.

To this, Rhodes admitted that he had told all his friends that Cena was done and that he would not return to the ring again, to which they had spoken about how traditionally in wrestling very few people actually retired and then stayed retired - mostly returning to the ring at some point.

CR: That's it. I kept saying to all my buddies, oh nobody ever really retires, but...

The ex-WWE Champion added that especially after the Saturday Night's Main Event show, he was done and that he knew that it could never be topped again, no matter what he did.

JC: Especially after the beauty of Saturday. That is... I can't top it.

Now that he is done with his wrestling career, he said that he wanted to focus on the next three weeks by catching up with old friends and spending time with his family. Only after that will he move on to whatever is next.
